All of these dogs are available as of May 9, 2008. Please contact bsr@boykinrescue.org for specific adoption information or contact one of the Boykin Spaniel Rescue volunteers. The adoption fee is $250 and we require an Adoption Application before considering any new owner.

Harpper--5 y/o male in Charlotte NC-Harpper loves water and retrieving-he is a very typical exuberant Boykin. Harpper has some white on his chest and his feet that only complement his tail! Harpper has been a house dog with bed sleeping privileges. He loves to wander off when he catches a scent. He's great with kids and seems to gravitate towards men beacuse Harpper was the husband's dog and it shows. He was surrendered to BSR beacuse of their young daughter's allergies/asthma. Beaufort-Adopted-12.5 y/o male in western NC-SWEET SWEET SWEET!!!!! Beaufort LOVES attention and when he sees you, he comes running, but he is mostly deaf. This boy is all about love. He enjoys hoping in the car to go for a ride! He is good with older children and around horses! Beaufort needs a loving home that will give him the attention he deserves and a BIG backyard fenced to run and play in!!! He will be available for adoption Easter weekend. Jake-Adopted-“Jake was given up after 11 years by owners that had him since he was a pup. They had to move with a new job and could not handle taking him in the new location. Pretty crummy! He lived on and had full run of a gentleman's farm; 13 acres with a small pond. He's just a good old boy that has no training other than being housebroken. He does come when called, and sits and downs for a treat. He loves to swim, and chase the Frisbee or most any other toy. He really does not play fetch; He just goes and gets. While he gets along just swell with our other Boykin and our American Water Spaniel, he isn't too playful with them, and prefers to play on his own with toys or a blanket, or just roll around on the carpet. He pretty much keeps one of us in sight at all times. He has run of the house when we're home, and while having bed privaleges with our other dogs, he sleeps on the floor next to the bed. He gets walked at least two miles everyday. His last blood work showed him to be in almost perfect health. He's very lovable and rides well. He's on Frontline Plus and Inteceptor. He suffers from separation (What dog or person wouldn't after been left after 11 years.) and thunderstorm anxiety. We occasionally drug him a little to get through bad nights and storms. He has some arthritis on his spine which we have under control with a daily Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, Hyaluronic acid pill (Over the counter human supplement), unless he gets too much exercise (a hard Frisbee session for example.) in which case he may need some Rimadyl for a few days. He's mildly incontinent and takes a small dose of phenylpropanolamine to help him out. His teeth are pretty worn but it doesn't affect his eating. All the meds come to less than a $1.50 a day. Niky is a sweet girl, 10 1/2 years young.
She likes to be around people and as do most Boykins,
she loves to swim and chase a ball.
She also enjoys an afternoon nap!
