Plants Potentially
Poisonous To Dogs
The following commonly
available plants could potentially pose a hazard to animals. This list is
not meant to be all-inclusive. If you think your animal may have ingested a
poisonous plant, contact your local veterinarian.
Beware of mulch used in
landscaping made from cocoa bean hulls. It contains Theobromine,
which is the ingredient that makes chocolate-especially dark or baker’s
chocolate. This could be potentially toxic and even fatal to dogs if ingested. Animals
seem to be attracted to the mulch’s sweet smell.
