Chix Jerkey
Be aware of where your dog’s chicken jerky is coming from. Many brands from outside the United States have caused problems in dogs. This popular treat is made all around the world and with most food products some brands are better than others. Many BSR volunteers have found a trustworthy friend in Kona Chips® out of California. Like many revamped dog products, this company was started due to the owner’s beloved dog becoming ill from this popular treat made in China.

Poisonous Plants
We have a list of potentially poisonous plants that was compiled in memory of one of our beloved Boykins, Otter, who tragically died as a result of a poisonous plant. As a tribute to Otter, his owner, along with a Charleston, SC Master Gardener, researched some of the more common plants to be found dangerous to animals in hopes of avoiding another dog owner having to deal with the death of a beloved pet.
We have added the list to our site under Boykin Resources/Health. Poisonous Plants
